India became free on 15 th August 1947. Accordingly sindhi Community had to leave their original mother land – Sind and settled in various different cities in India such as Ulhasnagar, Thane, Mumbai, Deolali, Nasik, Dhulia, Jalgaon, Amravati, Nagpur, Bhopal, Indore, Jaipur, Ahmadabad and other cities. We worked very hard to make ourselves self dependent. We faced many problems patiently regarding occupation, settlements, Education and so on. And finally we succeeded and today we are considered one of the main factors in the development of our beloved Mother India.
To uplift Sindhis economically educationally, spiritually, there is lion share of Sindhi Panchayats.
Every city where Sindhis are residing has a Panchayat. The Panchayat functions as per the norms of Charity Commissioner Office. The President of such Panchayat works in Coordination with the members of working committee to maintain the unity among the Sindhi Members of Panchayat and to share and solve their problems, such as domestic, business, educational, social, health etc and to maintain the better relations of Sympathy, brotherhood with other local communities. With the main Objective mentioned above, Puj Sindhi Panchayat, Deolali was founded in 1949 and Mr. Jhamandas K Kukreja was its first Hon. President. And in the years there after, till today the following 22 Eminent Sindhi Personalities served the Sindhi Community by taking the charge of President Ship from time to time.
They maintained the Unity and Brotherhood among the Sindhi Community. It is Worthwhile to mention the names of such Sindhi Presidents.

The main Vision of Puj Sindhi Panchayat, Deolali is to provide Education, to satisfy the basic needs of last Sindhi person and make the Sindhi Community Healthy and United.
So to achieve the Vision of Puj Sindhi Panchayat, Deolali, we keep on doing the following activities every year. a) To provide fees for Education to last Sindhi student. b) To arrange health camps in coordination with different famous hospitals of Nasik district. c) To arrange such programmes on the occasion of different religious functions, so that our Sindhi mothers, sisters and young students should get opportunities to participate in them with great Zeal and Enthusiasm. d) To felicitate the successful topper Sindhi students from S.S.C, H.S.C, Graduation, Post Graduation and from other educational fields.
The main Objective behind the above mentioned activities is to pass the Sindhi Culture and its Fragrance to the future generation.

I Ratan Chawla the president of Puj Sindhi Panchayat would like to share with you about my achievements in life.
Born and brought up in Deolali.
I used to get first class in every standard at school level.
I have proved myself as an ideal farmer by planting 7000 trees in fields.
I have produced the Marathi film Zuluk. The Heroine of the film got best actress award from Maharashtra Government.
I have worked on different posts of Bhartiya Janta Party and rendered my services for the welfare of common, general and needy citizens.
Since last 8 years, I have been performing my duties as Secretary of Shanker Education Society for the upliftment of students in educational field.
At present I am performing the duties of President of Puj Sindhi Panchayat, Deolali.
I have also worked on Railway Board as “ZRUCC” ( Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee )
